The titles in the playlist below are all currently slated to be launching within the launch window of the Wii U, which is between it's launch of November 18th, 2012 - March 2013.​

Because we all love it when Nintendo has to somehow get their product names integrated into the names of their other products; feast your eyeballs on the latest abomination of Nintendo words hacks. Nintendo TVii is the Wii U's attempt at being the seconds screen for not only games, but for the media you consume on your televisions out side of games as well. 

E3 2012: Nintendo Press Conference recap

 

Incase you missed the Nintendo Wii U centric Conference today, here are the highlights:

 

  • The Conference starts off with who else but Shigeru Miyamoto as he talks about Pikmin. Translator Bill Trinen joins him on stage. Pikmin 3 is announced after a brief explanation as to how the game came to be. A map of the area you are in is always shown on the “Wii U Gamepad”.
  • Reggie Fils-Aime takes the stage an announces that 23 Wii U games will be shown at today’s presentation. Playing on the Wii U Gamepad versus the TV is call “A symmetric gameplay”. It is also announced that the Wii U will support two Wii U Gamepad’s. Many of the features revealed from Nintendo Direct a few days ago are gone over again. New Super Mario Bros U is announced with a trailer for the game shown. A player with the Gamepad can place blocks into the game to help out other players using the Wii motes.
  • Martin Tremblay of Warner Brothers Interactive takes the stage to show off the Wii U version of Batman: Arkham City with Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition. Reid Schneider of WB Games Montreal joins the stage to go over the game in more detail. Many new Wii U Gamepad features have been added to the game.
  • Jeremiah Slaczka of 5th Cell joins the stage to talk about the newly announced Scribblenauts Unlimited. A trailer for the game is shown.
  • A montage of other third party Wii U titles is shown. The titles highlighted are Darksiders II, Mass Effect 3, Tank! Tank! Tank!, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Trine 2: Directors Cut, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, Aliens Colonial Marines.
  • Reggie takes the stage again to talk about Wii Fit and its balance board. More than 43 Million copies of Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus have been sold. Wii Fit U is announced and accompanied with a trailer. “Off TV play” is shown for the game.
  • New title Sing( working title) is announced with trailer.
  • Scott Moffitt takes the stage to talk about the 3DS. New Super Mario Brothers 2 is highlighted first. The game is announced to be releasing on August 19th 2012. Paper Mario Sticker Star is announced to arrive “physically and digitally” this holiday season. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is also announced.
  • Reggie takes the stage once again to talk Lego City. A trailer for the game is shown with a potable version of the game to also be arriving called Lego City Undercover.
  • Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot takes the stage. He is also joined by Xavier Poix to show off Just Dance 4 on Wii U. Next is ZombiU A montage of Ubisoft Wii U titles is shown featuring Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013, Sports Connection, Just Dance 4, Rabbids Land, Rayman Legends, Avengers: Battle for Earth, Zombi U, and Assassins Creed 3.
  • Reggie takes stage control back to bring us to Nintendo Land. Katsuya Eguchi takes the stage. Nintendo Land is the Wii U’s version of Wii Sports Resort of sorts. It is a collection of games with-in the Nintendo Mii Universe. Nintendo Land will launch at the same time as the Wii U hardware this holiday.
  • Reggie takes the stage once more to wrap up and that’s all she wrote folks.

 

Nintendo Direct Pre E3 2012 hard facts

 

In case you missed Nintendo Direct Pre E3 2012 here are the hard facts found with Nintendo Direct Pre E3 2012:

 

  • The new Wii U controller is now called the "Wii U Gamepad".
  • The NFC Reader/Writer (the "button" underneath the D-pad on the left side of the controller) is used to scan in cards. 
  • The Controller can be turned on separate from the console and be used to turn on/off the Wii U Console.
  • The Controller has Gryro and Motion sensing just as the Wii-mote.
  • The Wii U will support the new Wii U Pro Controller, Wii Mote, Wii Balance Board, and Classic Controller.
  • Is Nintendo starting a Nintendo Social network for Mii's? Is that Mii Wara Wara?
  • Miiverse = Mii Universe is the name of Nintendo's "Communication System". This menu can be accessed at anytime.
  • Hand written messages and screenshots can be sent over the Miiverse.
  • Screen on controller termed "Social Window".
  • Nintendo Network to connect all Nintendo devices. Nintendo Network to be accessed from mobile phones as well.
  • A web browser is also avaiable on both the console for your tv and on the Wii U Controller. A curtain of sorts can be applied to the TV to allow for private browsing on the controller alone.
