Naughty Dog's third entry into the Uncharted series is so very close and so is the television ad (not the Subway ad) for the game that premiers tonight during the NFL Sunday Night game, October 16th (Vikings vs Bears) 8:20PM ET (that's tonight!). For those of you reading this though, you get to see the ad right now below the fold. Enjoy!

Something is afoul here folks. Is that free content I hear flying across those famous internet tubes? Why yes, it is free content. Unfortunately, this free content had to come at the cost of your identity possibly being compromised. 

With the Playstation Store restored the switch on the Welocme Back Program has officially started. If you have any outstanding questions about the content or how to get it the PlayStation blog has an FAQ ready for you here. Just remember that you would have to have been a PSN member before April 20, 2011 for the following available content:

For PS3 owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section in the PlayStation Store, and select 2 titles from the following list:

• Super Stardust HD
• Wipeout HD + Fury

For PSP owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section of PlayStation Store on your PSP system and select 2 titles from the following list:

• Pursuit Force
• Killzone Liberation

As this is the first day of the 'Welcome Back' program the PSN is currently being pummelled with everyone trying to get there hands on the above content. Some of you may be greeted with error codes were the option do download dissappears. If you encounter this problem the following should get you back to the download or either game 1 or 2.

There's no Mark Wahlberg soul crushing news for those "in the videogame know" this time, but this time things regarding the UNCHARTED franchise as a whole are looking up as the inevitable 3rd game has finally been officially revealed. Titled UNCHARTED 3: Drakes Deception, Nathan Drake is indeed venturing into the desert ( just as rumors would have you believe prior to today from several sources). The Arabian desert to be exact, Nathan will be accompanied by returning character Victor Sullivan as they look for the "Atlantis of the Sands."

Bigger set pieces and more explosive adventure, driven by Naughty Dog's signature storytelling and cinematic presentation.

Competitive and co-op multiplayer return with brand new experiences and massively expanded feature sets. The UNCHARTED universe provides online players with a unique Action Adventure multiplayer experience, bringing the cinematic elements of the single-player campaign into multiplayer.

Nathan Drake can now take on opponents in more ways than before: hand-to-hand combat with multiple opponents, contextual melee attacks, and new stealth options. UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception also features expanded and diverse traversal moves with deep gunplay.

Naughty Dog introduces new physics, visuals, and environmental effects. UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception features new innovations in sand, fire, smoke, and water dynamics and effects. UNCHARTED 3: Drake's Deception will be playable in Stereoscopic 3D.

As Ready at Dawn's last PSP title God of War Ghost of Sparta hits the Sony's portable it's only fitting for Kratos to get a little bit of video treatment just before he lands in the handheld realm once more. 

 Arriving just before Xbox LIVE Arcade's Summer of Arcade promotion, Black Light Tango Down was released on the Xbox 360 with no official word as to when it would show up on other platforms until now. Blacklight: Tango Down will be coming to PSN on October 26th, 2010.

"Fans flocked to Blacklight over the summer because the game offered the most extensive array of gameplay and features ever brought to the DLG venue - for just 15 bucks," said Jared Gerritzen, Lead Designer at Zombie Studios. With Netflix Instant Streaming on the PS3 currently, you have to resort to putting a disc into your PS3 to see the "magic" happen. Come October 18, 2010 that will be a thing of the past as you'll be able to download a PS3 native app to do all of your Netflix streaming action. Additionally, the interface and functionality will also be brought up to speed with the competition as search of the Instant Streaming catalog is also coming along for the ride.

Worms 2: Armageddon has now found itself on the PlayStation Network. No longer do PlayStation 3 owners have to feel left out. A demo for the game is also now on the PSN.

With older PS3's becoming more and more difficult to find and newer PS3's not supporting it, backwards compatibility has pretty much become a thing of the past as far as the console is concerned. It really is a shame too, considering how many spectacular games were released on the system's predecessor, the Playstation 2.

Developers seem to have recognized that players want their old games to still be playable. From the advent of backwards compatibility with the PS2 playing PS1 games, to the Wii Virtual Console, developers seem to understand that the demand for updated, or at the very least, compatible, versions of games is there.

We saw Sony capitalize on this demand late last year with the God of War Collection on the PS3, which contained the two Playstation 2 releases of the God of War franchise, just in time for God of War 3 to hit shelves a couple of months later.

We personally think that Sony is sitting on a goldmine with the spectacular catalog of titles they have. We've all heard the rumors of the most popular PS1 game of all-time, Final Fantasy VII, being remade for the PS3, but howabout we see some more love for the PS2? Check out our list of the top five titles or franchises that we'd love to see remastered and re-released on the Playstation 3.

There's one thing devoted PlayStation fans all have in common. No one can figure out when the hell Rockstar's LA Noire nor Team Ico's The Last Guardian will see the light of day. Thankfully, word from Sony has confirmed that The Last Guardian will make it to the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. In what form and or variety is yet to be determined, albeit this doesn't quite mean that the game is any closer to a final release date in Japan or anywhere else. More will be revealed soon, or so it seems. Either way, the wait is still very much on.

A demo for the upcoming Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes is now available on the PSN. Two of the twelve playable character's are selectable in this 16th century Japanese action game from the creators of Devil May Cry 4.
