E3 2012: Ubisoft Media Briefing recap

 

*Tobuscus? Why? (that is all of the commentary needed)

 

  • First up is a dance number by Flo Rida for the Just Dance franchise.
  • Next up is a new gameplay demo for Far Cry 3.
  • A trailer for The Avengers: Battle for Earth is shown.
  • A gameplay demo for Rayman Legends on the Wii U is demoed.
  • A trailer for Wii U game Zombi U is shown.
  • A Wii U montage is played. Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013, Sports Connection, Just Dance 4, Rabbids Land, Rayman Legends, Avengers: Battle for Earth, Zombi U, and Assassins Creed 3 are all going to be Ubisoft Wii U Launch window titles.
  • Assassins Creed 3 is up next with a new trailer. Followed by a lengthy gameplay trailer.
  • “Tobuscus Railgun AllStars” is played. Why? Who knows, but the crazy minds who put this entire thing together deciding that they couldn’t entirely get rid of Mr. Caffeine from last year. ShootMania is the game played, which is being developed specifically for E-Sports.
  • Next is an Ubisoft montage showing off some of their top games like Trials Evolution, The Settlers Online, Tom Clancy’s: Ghost Recon Online, and more.
  • Last is a trailer for a new title from Ubisoft is shown followed by a gameplay demo. The new game is announced as Watch Dogs and it's save to say it has wowed everyone.

“10 developers to show off 10 great games”

 

  • First up is Dead Space 3 by Visceral Games. A trailer for the game is shown followed by a gameplay demo. The game is to be playable in Co-op as well. Dead Space 3 to be released in February 2013.
  • Second is Madden 13. The Infinity Engine is the focus.
  • 3rd up is Maxis. The first talking point is SimCity Social for Facebook. Next is SimCity proper with a new video of its Glass Box Engine at work including multiplayer.
  • Next is Dice. Battlefield 3 Premium is announced. Premium will be $49.99. PC and Xbox 360 players get access next week while PS3 players get access right now.
  • Next is Bioware. First up for Bioware is Star Wars: The Old Republic. This July everyone can play up to level 15 for free.
  • Next is Medal of Honor Warfighter with a lengthy gameplay demo and a new trailer.
  • Next up is EA Sports with FIFA 12 followed by a gameplay trailer. Next is
  • Next is Criterion with Need for Speed Most Wanted. Autolog 2.0 will be introduced with the game.
  • To end is a visual feast with the first ever gameplay demo of Crysis 3.
