Well it seems Ubisoft and Mr. Clancy like making money. In 08 the duo of Ubisoft and prolific writer, Tom Clancy, (who signs his name on anything that turns into cash) will be making a new IP focused around planes with Air Combat. Sergio Hascoet, managing director of Ubisoft Bucharest, explains.
“We are confident that this new brand will become the new benchmark for flight combat games and will be, like other Tom Clancy based games, an instant online multiplayer hit. The player will experience all the action and excitement of modern air combat, from intense dog fighting to tactical strikes.”
Its nice to see something new coming out of Ubisoft, they were beginning to trade place with EA on the creative side. It looks like its going to be another Clancy year in 08 with End War, Splinter Conviction, and the working title Air Combat.
