“13 Days of Gears” hopes to bring back GoW2 with $25,000 worth of prizes

Don't miss your chance to win some great prizes.

Gears of War 2 is definitely selling well, as Epic and Microsoft recently announced the curb stomping shooter’s mind blowing sales of over 4 million units.  However, the online community seems to be stagnate in comparison to 2007’s Halo 3 and last year’s Call of Duty: World at War, as the blockbuster title has been holding Xbox Live’s 4th spot for the past few weeks.  Yet, it looks like Microsoft wants to change that with a new contest aiming to drive players back to the battlegrounds of Sera.

Starting February 1st, “13 Days of Gears” will be dishing out loads of Gears of War themed prizes.  The loot will range from the Gears novel, Aspho Fields, and the games soundtrack, to more expensive goods, like a 1080p LCD TV.  Epic is even throwing in some more rare items, such as a Marcus Fenix bronze statue and a Locust bust.  All you have to do to enter is register at the official contest site or download the contest gamer picture from the Xbox Live Marketplace.  Once your done registering, pop in you Gears 2 disc and get to pwning in the different multiplayer modes set for each day.  For a list of all the prizes and dates follow the source link to the official page.  Good Luck!
