Xbox 2010 E3 Media Briefing Rundown



  • A trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops is shown to kick of the briefing.

  • Following the trailer up is a gameplay session of the game played live on stage.

  • Hideo Kojima is brought on stage to talk about Metal Gear Solid Rising.

  • The producer for the game is brought on stage to show off a trailer of the game.

  • Mirosoft Game Studios Corporate Vice President Phil Spencer is brought on stage.

  • Everything here on out is Xbox 360 exclusive

  • Cliff Blezinksi is brought on stage to demo 4 player story based co-op of Gears of War 3 with Rod Ferguson, Tina Wood, and "that other guy".

  • Peter Molyneax is brought out next to talk all things Fable 3.  October 26th is revealed as its release date.

  • Phil Spencer is back to announce MGS' newest partner.

  • Kingdoms with Crytek is revealed.

  • Halo Reach is next up with Bungie's Marcus Leto being brought out to show off the game's single player campaign for the first time complete with space combat. The game is also confirmed to release September 2010.

  • Marc Whitten in next to be brought on stage. 25 Million members are pro-ported to be on Xbox LIVE. Kinect is now focused on once again after last nights Cirque Du Soliel. Kinect is shown off when used on the Xbox 360 Dashboard. Voice recognition is also heavily used. Xbox LIVE is also coming to Windows Phone 7.

  • Video Kinect is showcased.

  • Josh Elliot and Trey Wingo is brought out to introduce ESPN on Xbox 360 (Kinect equipped). ESPN on Xbox LIVE will be free for Xbox LIVE Gold members.

  • Kudo Tsunoda is brought out to announce the six launch titles for Kinect.

  • Kinectimals is up first. Fears of hiding behind your couch akin to the Wii's first advertisement are indeed present here as well.

  • Kinect Sports from Rare is next. A 200m hurdle race is showcased.

  • Kinect Joyride (previously a non "Natal" title) is next.

  • Kinect Adventures is next. While you're playing the game will take photos (this applies to all of the Kinect titles). River Rush is soon off next as being just one of over 20 "adventures" to be had.

  • A montage of launch Kinect titles is shown off. An exercise title in Your Shape Fitness Evolved from Ubisoft is focused on first.

  • Dance Central ( yes, all of the rumors were correct) from Harmonix is next.

  • Kinect Launch details. North America in November.

  • A Star Wars lightsaber game for Kinect is coming from Lucas Arts.

  • Forza Motorsport equipped with Kinect is shown off. A release window of 2011 is revealed.

  • Don Mattrick is brought on stage. A new Xbox 360 redesign is shown off. At the same price as the current Xbox 360 you'll get at 250 GB hardrive with built-in wireless N. And the shocker is that it'll be available later this week.

  • That's it folks.

Last and most certainly not least is Doom II. Fan’s with a healthy amount of nostalgia for old school FPS action have been waiting for quite a while for Doom II to finally arrive on XBLA. It the same game you know and maybe love, yet if you just have to quench that thirst for more Doom you can now do so on your Xbox 360 once again.

XBLA Today: Metal Slug XX and Aqua

Arriving today on Xbox LIVE Arcade is a barrage of shooting goodness. Whether you like old school side scrolling in Metal Slug XX or top down/Isometric shooting in Aqua – Naval Warefare you have your pick. Metal Slug XX is another in the long line of Metal Slug games out of SNK Playmore. If you’ll played anything of the previous titles you know what you’re in for. Light platforming engulfing in shooting, shooting, and more shooting is what you’re in for. Metal Slug XX can be had in full for 1200 MSP.

The second release on Xbox LIVE Arcade to today is Aqua – Naval Warfare. A title based around piloting vehicles over water (you can obviously gleam that from the title) , warfare over the seas is the name of this game. Somewhat similar to a few other titles previously released on Xbox LIVE Arcade, Aqua is accompanied by a comic book presentation of its story. Aqua will hit you up for 800 MSP.
